The City of Greenville has selected the Heirloom Companies of Campobello, SC to create and fabricate key wood and metal features for the future Unity Park project. When completed in 2022, the 64 acre park will include bridges over a widened Reedy River, water features, a playground, walking and bike paths, an observation tower and much more. “Creating Unity Park is a huge step forward for Greenvilles’ community vision,” said the Heirloom Companies COO, Ben Moseley. “So everyone here is thrilled and honored to be a part of helping transform and beautify this area into a sprawling open space with something for everyone – complete with plenty of room to play sports, bike or walk the expanded Swamp Rabbit Trail, explore the visitors center, and so much more. We’re confident that our products will complement and enhance the beauty of Greenville’s future crown jewel!”

With a twenty-year history of award-winning quality, including the iconic Brown Street signs in downtown Greenville and the Cancer Survivor Park monument, the Heirloom Companies has the experience, design skills, and technology that enables them to handle any job, large or small, residential or commercial. Working with different types of wood, metal, glass and other materials, the Heirloom Companies create products that are one-of-a-kind. For the Unity Park project, the company will be assisting in the design, engineering and is responsible for the fabrication and installation of the main Unity Park signage, a playground fence with large, sweeping curves to create movement, custom-made, semi-rigid wind chimes as well as unique picnic shelters made from Alaskan Yellow Cedar with rafter components bolted to steel pipe trusses. In addition the company will also create cultural wall panels that will be etched with the story of Unity Park and the history of the surrounding area.
